You are only 19, yet your work is beyond your years. At what age did you know you wanted to be a makeup artist?
Art is a form of expression that I held so close to me ever since I was little. I could remember painting and drawing in kindergarten and using it as a way to envision my crazy thoughts into reality. At the age of 11 was when I first started using makeup and from there on, I knew I wanted to incorporate it within my everyday life. There is something about transforming someone entirely is truly fascinating and because of that, it quickly turned into my passion.

Your full body painting is very creative. Where do you find your inspiration?
The majority of my inspiration comes from real life stories and memories. I can’t create something if I don’t have a story or concept to help guide me through the process. For me, it simply starts with an idea and then I take what I’ve experienced in my life to further expand the idea into a concept. I also use pictures I find online to help piece together what kind of look I want to go for or reimagine.

Where do you see yourself in the near future? In what industry is your dream job? Special F/X makeup, fashion, beauty industry?
It has always been a dream of mine to work as a special effects makeup artist for the film industry. I just love the idea of being able to see my art come to life on the big screen. As for the the near future, I can see myself freelancing as a makeup artist, working on film or tv sets, and still producing the creative art pieces I’ve been doing since I was little.

What do you have planned for the RAW Artists Toronto showcase on Friday February 7th at the Mod Club?
For that night, I am presenting two head pieces that I made myself which are being displayed on two models that I will be bodypainting. It’s always go big or go home for me when it comes to shows. I’m also planning on doing makeup on guests throughout the showcase, maybe a little face art or beauty. It will be a very fun night and I always try not to disappoint.
