Tell us about yourself and what you do?

Hi and thank you for your time! My name is Sharune. I am a London based film and theatre actress.

Who has inspired you in your life and why?

There are many inspirations in my life. I am very grateful to the universe for welcoming the right people into my life. And for music. Love. Films. Nature… There are so many great things!

You were a part of the Monsteer’s Artistry West End and Broadway Spectacular Cabaret last week. How did that collaboration start?

Once over tea-time, I mentioned to my agent Kyra how fun it would be for me to try singing work for back vocals. I did not think much of it at the time! Such opportunity happened when she needed a host for a cabaret and offered me a place to host and sing in a duet with her. The show was very well received at The Other Palace Theatre in central London and it was absolutely fab experience! We had rehearsals with musical director Steve Corley. It was very surreal to be on the same stage with so many great singers, including Sharon Sexton, Rob Fowler, Jarneia Richard-Noel. Emily Mae-Walker and Pippa Lea!

Wow. So what other projects are you working on?

Well, there are a few to be honest. I have been a part of two short films that are at the moment in festival runs. One called Comic Timing (Reel Scene production, dir. Debbie Howard) has just premiered at the Earls Court International Film Festival. The other one is called The Accident (ApT film production, dir. Ellie Francois) and it has just started its festival run couple days ago. Besides that, I have got quite a few photoshoots scheduled for December and – keep fingers crossed! – I am in the audition progress for a few films!

Are there any movies you’ve seen recently that inspired you?

I have seen Road Trip by Natale A. Evans at the Earls Court festival, and it was funny, beautiful, thought-provoking and inspiring! Absolute gem embracing life!

Do you have any tips for our readers that are trying to break in the industry?
