Picnic in the parks are so much fun but what to wear? In this guide you find some tips to make sure you are comfortable and stylish and a packing list for the perfect picnic!
When you go for a picnic it is important to choose something comfortable. After all, you are sitting on the ground, so a dress may not be very useful. You can wear airy fabrics such as linen or a cotton striped tshirt. These breathable materials provide maximum comfort. Make sure you wear clothing that is not too tight and a bra that fits comfortably so that you have sufficient freedom of movement. An elastic band in your pants adds extra convenience so you can enjoy all the delicacies without any worries.

Wear multiple layers
A picnic is a pleasant moment with friends and/or family. There is no time limit for a picnic, just like in a restaurant. You can simply sit there all morning, afternoon and evening. It is therefore smart to wear several layers of clothing like a shirt with water repellant sleeveless jacket.
Depending on the season it can be a bit cooler in the morning than when the sun shines in the afternoon. Or perhaps the sun goes behind the clouds and it is a bit cooler in the shade. It is nice to have a light sweater or waterproof rain coat at hand that you can put on in case it starts raining or when the weather is cooling of.

Depending on the location where you are going to picnic, choose the most suitable shoes. High heels are not the most convenient when you go to the beach or the forest. Then choose comfortable shoes such as sneakers, ballerina flats or sandals. On the beach, slippers are of course ideal and easy to take off. So coordinate your outfit with the nicest shoes depending on the season.
Packing list & tips for the perfect picnic in the park
✓ Choose your spot in the park strategically. Sitting in the sun is nice, but I always prefer to sit under the trees for some shade. In any case, it’s more pleasant when you’re eating (and drinking)!
✓ At the beginning of this spring I bought some picnic baskets and retro picnic tableware that we can use again and again. You also have beautiful sustainable tableware especially for outdoor use that is made of bamboo.
✓ Sometimes you don’t have time to spend hours in the kitchen. Then I find ready-made containers with snacks a solution. Favorites that I always grab are: Serrano cream cheese rolls, green olives with garlic, fuet, chicken skewers and marinated shrimp.
✓ I often bake a few more quiches in case we stay longer in the park. I cut it into cake slices at home so that it is easy to eat. Favorites remain the combinations of ham and leek or the classic Loraine.
Have fun!
