Losode is set to disrupt the fashion industry at large, by working conscientiously to empower people through entrepreneurship.

Fashion start up Losode is making an impression on a global audience with their crowdfunding campaign at the #VOOM 2016 competition pitch. The online fashion platform based in London aims to bring the world to Africa and Africa to the world. Losode offers a mixture of western fashion brands and African designers. They are the first online marketplace where African designers are able to showcare their designs next to western fashion that is sold online in the e-commerce store. Their aim is to bridge the gap between the Western world and Africa.

The interactive platform is getting a lot of attention with over 15.000 followers on social media platforms and 300 subscribers. According to founder Ade Adeyemi there is a lack of structure and regulation that makes it difficult for African designer to become succesfull on an international scale. While the fashion world has been focusing on America, Europe and Asia, Ade Adeyemi thinks it’s time to focus on Africa. She believes in sustainable social growth and is motivated to empower entrepreneurs and create more opportunities for African fashion designers.

The platform that consists of an e-commerce store where Africans can shop a mixture of western trends and African fashion designers is currently in the leaderboard of Virgin Media Business #VOOM 2016 competition. The #Voom2016 is the biggest and most valuable pitch competition out there and voting is done by the public.
