Digital artwork by pioneer internet artist Rodney PYGOYA Chang of Hawaii now made into video arts film for the Web. His work is called Cyberbabies art inhabitants in a virtual world.
The series of paintings looks mysterious at first, the background music intensives this feeling. The semi-abstract approach in his artwork with splatters and swirls are Chang’s signature. He uses natural colors like beige, black and green but the video also includes paintings with brighter colors like pink, yellow and blue. Taste is personal but I’m always attracted to bright colors so this is my favorite painting.
It would be interesting to know the story behind Chang’s paintings. The darker paintings seems to have a heavier energy and looks a bit sad or confusing. Like the abstractions in his painting tries to break out from something. The lighter paintings seems happy and carefree, the tone of these paintings are playful. I definitely think Mr Chang’s work is interesting for a variety of people. He truly immerses people in waves, swirls and abstract figures
