Contrast appears as a result between the feminine and non- feminine concept and between contemporary and historical icons of woman.

Colour is the most important element which requires maximum reflection and which also combines my jewelry.  Colour does not loose its relevancy in this collection, but a new component such as relief appears. Exactly relief decided the combination of forms and colours.

I chose sharp and rough ( stone, coral, quartz) parts and started to create the range of solid jewelry. The collection began to balance between soft and hard surfaces and also between rough lines and soft tones. Contrast appears as a result between the feminine and non- feminine concept and between contemporary and historical icons of woman.

The second stage was working with photographer Elvina Janušonyte who has the task to combine the feminine softness with the rough ornament of jewelry and to create the impression of ambivalent photography submitted through the image of a contemporary woman.

The photographer depicts a sensitive and artistic human existence with painful and brutal charm of melancholy. You can feel the duality in the pictures. Breathing of clean and quiet illusion intertwines through painful and sometimes dull glance of a woman, and also indifference intertwines with sexuality. Boredom and sadness, tenderness and romanticism, which prevails in the pictures, oppose the rashness, the masculinity, the woman’s status and the existential boredom.

Rough surfaces of jewelry, sharp angles and tones of colours contrast with the gentle model of a woman. The confrontation of strong and courageous jewelry for a sensitive woman`s body illustrates  her contemporary position in society.
