Even though we are in the midst of fighting for survival against the malevolent COVID-19 that started our 2020 in the worst possible way, it is very important to keep our spirits high and hope that everything will pass soon enough. Summer is several months away, and if we follow China’s example, we will be able to terminate the virus in just a couple of months. But be that as it may, who’s to say that we cannot start planning our summer holidays, or at least, fantasize about what we would like to do once July, August or September comes, or have something to think about for next year. When all of this passes, it would be a great idea to go somewhere on a luxurious, Mediterranean trip, cruise some of the most beautiful islands, such as the Croatian or Greek ones, have a nice dinner someplace pretty. If you really want to do that, take a look at the basics that you should have in mind:
The perfect destination
Obviously, the first thing you will need to do is find the perfect destination for your trip. The Mediterranean is a great area because you can choose some of the most beautiful summer destinations, ranging from Spain and France to Croatia, Montenegro and Greece. Finding a pretty place in these countries is easy as each and every one of them has something unique and pretty to offer. Of course, if you want something more exclusive, you can always opt for Cannes, for example (if you’re for some French elegance vibes), or go to Dubrovnik in Croatia and get that Game of Thrones feel live.
A perfect stay
Next up, you will have to book a nice hotel and, as a must, a room with a sea view. The Mediterranean is crowded with some of the best hotels in the world, so you can choose any and you will not go wrong. However, there are some that are considered as the best hotels in this area, so if you want to check them out, make sure to go with the Hotel Tamariu in Costa Brava in Spain, as not only does it offer amazing hotel rooms, but it also has an amazing private beach that is one of the most beautiful hotel beaches in Europe. Having breakfast here is indeed an amazing experience. However, if you want to take a trip on the other side of the Mediterranean, you can explore Cyprus, and have a stay at the Anassa Hotel, very close to the town of Paphos.
The luxurious activities
On the other hand, though, why would you stay in one place and spend all of your free time and money eating and swimming there when you can see many different places? If the Mediterranean Sea is on your mind, then you should definitely check the Croatian islands that are indeed something quite spectacular, and not so much of a cliché like the Greek ones, but more authentic and really paradise-like. One of the best things to do here is to experience Croatia yachting as it is indeed something out of this world. Purchase your own yacht, or perhaps your own luxury day boat and see all of the beautiful islands such as Hvar, Brac, Vis or Pag. However, you do not have to opt for Croatia if you want to yacht, as the whole length of the Mediterranean coast is an amazing place for this activity.
The elegant attire
As far as the attire is concerned, if you want a luxurious trip, then you have to take with you luxurious clothes as well. Since you will probably be wining and dining at some of the most expensive and exclusive restaurants in the Mediterranean, you can bring your best formal attire, but with a summery twist. Choose light materials and bright colors. You can also never go wrong with white as it always looks amazing once you get a bit of a tan. Also, do some research on the fashion trends right now and accessorize accordingly. There are so many amazing ways in which you can make your outfit pretty and elegant without actually buying expensive clothes – the trick is that you have to do everything with style and to know how to match. This is why you should bear in mind that overdoing it with accessories and expensive garments can kill your look and make you look rather cheap. So, keep it minimal and pick good pieces that match well.
Hopefully, you will have an amazing summer this year, luxurious and relaxing. Choose your destination (or destinations) wisely!
