Interview with Tim Hysen Singer, founder and guitarist of fornicators

Tell us about yourself and what you do
Been involved in a lot of different types of music for almost 35 years. Now I’ve just finished my first solo work, an E.P self titled T.I.M. Started out in a punk band in 2001 but had written a lot of lyrics trough the years that just didn’t fit into that band. When I moved from the east coast of Sweden to the west coast I decided to take the time to learn about the art of recording myself, since I couldn’t practice with my band as often before. The result is my solo project T.I.M

Who has inspired you in your life and why?
As for inspiration I would say daily things that I see but maybe not quite get the importance of it until I have the time to sit down and think about it in a musical way, could be everything from social letdowns to different cultures and how people interact with each other. Musically wise I would say the musician Tim Armstrong have inspired me a lot.

What is your greatest achievement so far?
Except just becoming a dad, I would say creating this E.P pretty much by myself is a really impressive thing for me.

Do you have any tips for our readers that are trying to break in the industry?

My advise would be not to have your mind set into “break into the industry” instead to believe in what you do and do it because it’s something you love, if the industry likes it, and you like the industry then good for you.
