How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Coming from a family of factory workers, I knew how to scrape the dollars together for the down payment closing costs when I wanted to buy a home. While I was buying my own home, I was inspired to have my own business to be able to offer more services to the real estate market. With my personal experience from buying my own home I started Drexel to be able to offer quality services for the real estate market.

What is your mission?
Drexel Mortgage is New York City’s premier lender. Drexel’s mission is to deliver quality real estate services to first time home buyers, real estate investors. I started Drexel in 1995 to make as many people homeowners as possible. Homeownership is the quintessential step to financial freedom.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?
Having a successful company. Since 1995 Drexel Mortgage was started to help people achieve their goals buying a new home. Helping people achieve their homebuying goals has helped Drexel realize its greatest achievements in being a successful company.

What’s your best advice for other entrepreneurs who are starting a business?
My best advice is to stick to your dreams. It may not happen right away, it will.
