Interview with One Tribe Apparel

We want to bring handmade clothes from different cultures back to the United States. We want to work with and support local designers and tell their story.

What inspired you to start your brand?
I was traveling in Thailand on my first long term trip overseas. Two friends who I was traveling with got a gig to play music at a hostel in the town of PAI. The owners of the hostel were also from the USA and we hit it off. A few days later we were hanging out and remarking about how the bohemian fashion in Thailand is something we knew people would love back home. We got to planning and a few months later launched One Tribe Apparel with our featured product being Thai Harem Pants.

What is the brand’s philosophy?
Our core philosophy is we want to bring handmade clothes from different cultures back to the United States. We want to work with and support local designers and tell their story. We hope by doing this we can turn people on to visiting some of these amazing locales we’ve had the chance to travel to.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?
We’ve supported fundraisers and charities in the Yoga community and they’ve paid us back in kind by supporting our business and spreading the word about us.
