Interview with KhalidDaPoet

poetry

I witnessed drugs, guns, and gang life. Luckily, I survived and was able to get an education and travel abroad.

I had the privilege to interview KhalidDaPoet a talented poetry writer that is part of a new wave of inspiring poets. He published his most recent poetry collection: The Rise and Fall of a Revolutionary. In his new poetry collection you’ll also find illustrations made by Mareen Iv for the front cover and the illustrations placed in between individual poems were sketched by Rizky Nugraha.

Khalid’s purpose is spreading poetry in every direction, on every continent and country.  He hopes he can influence young minds with his work to create a positive change and lead social movements. His experiences manifested in some of his work and his work is partly inspired by his upbringing and the things he witnessed in the past. One of my favorite from his collection is titled Twerk[ing] vs. Humanity. Read the interview to find out more.
