artist, fashion model

Material things don’t mean much to me; but letting go is one of the hardest lessons I have had to learn.

right brain activeTell us about yourself and what you do
I am an island girl, a Jamaican native that found a love for the arts at the tender age of two years old. I was fortunate to have parents that allowed me to express creativity in different avenues which has allowed me to be diverse in so many areas, not only the visual but also performing arts as well. And, hmmm I’m also an international model as well.

Who has inspired you in your life and why?
A lot of my tutors and close friends have been my inspiration. Tutors that have been hard on me, friends who have been by my side when I needed someone, or something to laugh about. My friends that’ll run out in the rain with me at 9pm in the night, just to enjoy nature at its finest. It’s people like these that bring joy into my life. We all are aware that life can be difficult a times, and often times unpredictable so it’s a blessing to have individuals that stand by you no matter what, this inspires me, pushes me, and elevates me. Individuals that did not allow me to accept no as an answer; my baby sister that sees me as the best thing since sliced bread doesn’t allow me to even think of giving up. So no I don’t have one person that has inspired by I have an extended family that does.

What is your greatest achievement so far?
Being able to forgive fully. Material things don’t mean much to me; but letting go is one of the hardest lessons I have had to learn and now that I’m able to do that I find it to be a blessing that little really discover and grasp.

Do you have any tips for our readers that are trying to break in the industry?
I know it’s cliche to say but believe in yourself, do your research, when you’re sleeping remember someone else is up trying to improve so when you wake don’t waste time. A quote I’ve grown with that elaborates is: “heights of great men reached and kept, we’re not attained by sudden flight. but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upwards through the night.”
