Tell me about yourself?
My name is Daniel Allred and I am part of an up and coming Hip Hop Group out of Columbus, OH called “Awkward Satellite.” The group Consists of myself and my good friend “JJ Chowoe.”
How long have you guys been a group, and how did you guys meet?
JJ and I met through Craigslist actually! I put an ad out for a rapping partner when I moved to Columbus and he was one of the people who responded. We met up at guitar Center and immediately bought some recording equipment with some money he had recently earned for ghost writing for some other rapper; $400 for just one of his verses! That was about 6 months ago, it’s crazy to think how much we’ve accomplished since then!
Have you released any projects or is anything coming up?
Yes! The first official release from our group was our single ‘Fame,’ which we actually own full exclusive rights to. Fame is part of an album that we had initially started recording before switching to the idea of an EP consisting of remixes that we had written when we first got together. We released that project about a week ago and we titled it “The Summer EP.” it can be found on YouTube, Soundcloud, Reverbnation, and Audiomack.
