Tell us about your music
My music is very personal; writing is my outlet. I’d say that my style is a blend of pop and electronic with dark—and very emotional—soulful undertones.
What do you like most about your profession?
I get to do what I love every single day.
What’s your favorite album from another artist? and why?
This question is the equivalent of asking me who my favorite parent is! Impossible. Not to further inflate the ego here, but I think that Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak is genius. #kanyeforpresident, anyone?
What song of yours are you most proud of?
“Grey.” It’s a powerful love ballad. The lyrics are pulled straight from my journal—I wrote this at a very low point in my life, and I still feel super vulnerable every time I hear it. It’s really raw and it showcases my range.
What is the formula for success in the music industry?
I would love to know that myself! haha. I’m just going to keep working my ass off till I get there. I’m very determined.
