My father passed away and I had to provide for my mom as well. I took a chance and started selling my fashion at the local market.
What inspired you to start your brand/business?
I was always interested in fashion and styles at a young age. I was not happy working 50 hours a month at a business for 10,000 baht ($300 USD) a month and was struggling to make ends meet. My father passed away and I had to provide for my mom as well. I took a chance and started selling my fashion at the local market.
I am a huge believer in giving back so 5% of my sales go to those in need in my area.
What is the brand’s philosophy?
My brand philosophy is that you can feel good about buying my items. I am a 30 year old Thai woman and it bothers me to see SE Asian people be exploited and working in sweat shop like conditions. In the rare case where my items are made by someone else they get paid a fair wage. Also, I am a huge believer in giving back so 5% of my sales go to those in need in my area.
What has been your greatest achievement so far?
My greatest achievement is taking a chance to start something I believe in. Also, this interview is a huge achievement as it is my first real exposure to native English buyers.
