How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My Name is Christian Okoye, I have been in online marketing and internet services for over 10 years and have run series of online businesses and internet promotion services both for my personal company and clients. It’s from the various online activities experiences over the years that I came to realize that Nigerians business, public figures and government will need a professional online advertising agency with good repute, track records, and has expertise in internet marketing and online promotion in particular to run and manage their online campaigns this is how the idea of Adhang.com started.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?
Having big companies and governments communicating to us about their internet promotion needs, (as we know that government uses online advertising agency like Adhang.com to pass information to the populace, correct wrong impression or awaken of interest of the masses in any issue important to them).

What’s your best advice for other tech entrepreneurs who are starting a business?
My advice to tech entrepreneurs are:

  1. Know your line of business well, if not outsource to person(s) that know. In my case as Adhang.com owner my field of study in higher institution is Marketing, I also have spent at least 10 years in online marketing, the result is an excellent service being rendered to clients.
  2. Understand that internet is a medium; a business you run on it must be taken seriously by making all the necessary sacrifices including time, money, patient etc, just like offline business. Don’t follow short cut i.e., don’t employ unethical means if you want to stay long.

The “follow your passion first” is production orientated thinking (which means produce it first, then look for who will buy it), we  are no longer in that era. We are in the marketing era where you think about the wants and needs of target consumers/users first before starting a business, if rendering service to target customers/users by meeting their needs and wants happens to fall under your passion that becomes a bonus.
