Can you tell us what’s special about Faith Canter?
I’m a qualified therapists as well as a nutritional consultant, who’s recovered from ME/CFS and a handful of other long terms illnesses (and help others to do the same now) by following a whole life approach to detoxification. This involved addressing toxicity of mind, body, home and environment. This approach to health not only benefits my own health and well-being but that of our beautiful planet, as I am no longer using toxic chemicals on my body and in my home and thus not adding to the toxic load of the planet.
What motivated you to start an eco-friendly business?
I’ve always been passionate about the environment and always thought I’d go into that area with my working life. However after many years of ill health I found myself going down the health route instead. However as my health gradually improved and the more qualified I became it soon became apparent to me that I had become well through detoxing my mind, body, home and environment and that this was then having a knock-on effect with the health of the planet anyway. The more I found out about all the toxic chemicals in our food, skin, hair and cleaners products the more I realized what a huge negative impact these were having on us humans and the other inhabitants of our planet as well as the planets health itself. Now everything I do is not just about our health but it also has a strong enthuses on sustainability and planetary health.
What issues are you most passionate about?
I’m most passionate about us all living in a more sustainable, healthy and soulful way on this planet. Encouraging people to use less toxic and more sustainable products, getting away from single use plastics, palm oil and toxic foods and drinks. I love running workshops and events to show everyone how easily and cheaply it can be to live in this way and how much they can gain from it.
