Jim Carrey was always an inspiration to me ever since I was a kid. I’d always imitate him and watched his movies on the daily.

sexyQTell us about yourself and what you do
My name is Quan Worthwealth, from the Southern California. I am an independent filmmaker/ youtuber. I act, write, direct, and produce. Right now I’m working on a comedy/drama web series.

Who has inspired you in your life and why?
Jim Carrey was always an inspiration to me ever since I was a kid. I’d always imitate him and watched his movies on the daily. I feel like he’s the reason why I enjoy doing comedies.

What is your greatest achievement so far?
I’ve won awards at major film festivals. The latest one was held at the cinerama dome in 2009 at the Harvard Westlake Film Festival. Tom Hanks was the host of the event, he saw my short film “Hand the Ball”, and personally congratulated me with a Lizzie Award for best acting followed by a scholarship to NY film school.

Do you have any tips for our readers that are trying to break in the industry?
All you got to do is just DO IT, don’t waste any time, there are many people out there with talent, but they don’t put in the work. It definitely takes work to be successful. You have to be assiduous, focused, and just make sure you have a true passion for it.
