Interview: Tracie Pennypacker designer of LoveIt sustainable jewelry

Each piece of handcrafted boho jewelry is created by Tracie Pennypacker

braceletWhat inspired you to start your brand/business?
A: I was working with Yuske Kamiya, a Japanese designer for the streetwear line, Mookee By Yuske. After he saw me wearing a necklace I had designed, he prompted me to start my own brand. I started designing under the name Un-Conventional, in 2007, before making the switch in 2011 to LoveIt.

What is the brand’s philosophy?
A: To make high end bohemian jewelry using old stock vintage materials. Our motto is “Jewelry for the Vagabonds and Dreamers.” We want people to connect to the energy found in each piece. I personally make each design by hand, making each one a very unique one-of-a-kind treasure.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?
A: We were featured on America’s Next Top Model Season 8, Brigitte Magazine, Refix Magazine, and many more. My personal achievement was becoming a model for Auntie Rosa, a Japanese brand, while selling my line in their store in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Where can our readers find you online?
