Debut album “Bad in Bed” by artist, songwriter and producer Flaviyake

It’s inspiring to see an artist who doesn’t shy away from taboo subjects, a lot of woman don’t feel comfortable to open up about.

One of the artists you should know about right now is Flaviyake. She is born in Moldova, based in Los Angeles and a talented pop artist, songwriter and producer. She is known for her shows in London and her music has also been featured on BBC6 Music Radio. Causing a stir with her album cover on Instagram (the artwork was considered as adult content) she is not afraid to voice her feelings and expressions. And that’s what her debut album “Bad in Bed” is all about.

Debut album Bad in Bed

Flaviyake doesn’t shy away to sing about woman fantasies and what they really want. The woman’s natural desire to be submissive in bed. Other topics like mental health issues also come to light. In one of her songs “alive” she talks about what it’s like to be close to someone who suffers from depression. A song written one week before her mother took her life. The bridge is written after.

It’s inspiring to see an artist who doesn’t shy away from taboo subjects a lot of woman don’t feel comfortable to open up about. Her creative talent as a singer, songwriter and producer is visible in her songs and I’m sure this is not her last album!

Inspiration

Flaviyake is inspired by artists like Madonna, Lady gaga and Bjork (she even owns a piece of the infamous Lady Gaga’s raw meat dress). Her artist name derives from her own name Flavia and her favorite fashion designer Issey Miyake.

Advice for other artists

As a piece of advice to other artists, Flaviyake believes you have to surround yourself with those who see your potential instead of friends who are negative and criticize you. Great advice from a talented and hard working artist!
