Ariane Atlass was created by Ariane Fournier, a 35-year-old graphic designer with a passion for art and fashion. Ariane was inspired to create a fashion line that was one of a kind, while using local resources to support the Montreal community. She is passionate about keeping the business in Montreal, where it all began. Even the fabric that is used within the designs is locally custom made.
Q – You are a graphic designer, how did you decided to become a fashion designer?
A – I am a multitasking well organised creative minded person. I have no fear of failure (since anyway we have to rebuilt our self all along our lives) and a lot of passion. I have an understanding of shapes, colors and materials due to my experience in graphic design, but also modeling sculpture and bigger than nature sculptural decor. I give shape to my intuition… An aesthetic design has an inherent power of being able to fascinate and immediately having effect on people and their well-being.
