If you’ve had a chance to check out the Gucci’s Twitter recently, then you’ve probably noticed that they’re diligently working on promotion of their new collection from Alessandro Michele called Gucci Cruise 18. This collection was featured late last year in Palazzo Pitti in the Italian Renaissance capital itself, Florence.

Some of Michele’s recent works include designing a custom-made gown for an Icelandic singer, Björk, for her video for the song The Gate, which was completely envisioned in the accordance with the singer’s eccentric personality and Scandinavian climate, yet the mastermind admits that the Gucci Cruise 18 is inspired solely by Greek and Roman mythologies. #1 Jewelry abounds in Star Motifs and Pearls

All the girls love pearls, but it seems that star motifs have found their way to the statement jewelry too. And while the pearls are now adorning the most unexpected pieces such as rings, the golden stars are spreading circularly from the very centers of palm cuffs, following the divine symbolism behind the entire collection.

#2 Crystal Studded Butterfly is the leitmotif of the collection

Form earthy complementary tones to strong geometric shapes and discreet and not so discreet Gucci emblems, one of the most famous houses in the world is obviously still capable of striking a nerve of dedicated fashionistas, in the most positive sense of the phrase of course.
